Wednesday is a dark, witty, and supernatural coming-of-age mystery series that puts the death-obsessed, iconic teenager of the Addams Family front and center.
The story follows Wednesday Addams as she is expelled from her normal high school and sent to Nevermore Academy, a gothic boarding school for outcasts, freaks, and monsters. Smart, heavily sarcastic, and a little dead inside, Wednesday must learn to master her emerging psychic abilities while navigating the tangled, dramatic social waters of her new school. In Season 1, she thwarts a monstrous killing spree terrorizing the local town of Jericho and solves a 25-year-old supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents, Morticia and Gomez.
Season 2 (released in two parts in August and September 2025) plunges Wednesday into an even darker, more twisted narrative. Ditching the romantic subplots of the first season for pure horror, Wednesday faces a terrifying new stalker, uncovers deeper Addams Family lore, and deals with the immediate aftermath of Tyler's Hyde monster revelation. She must fully embrace her macabre roots to survive new foes, complicated friendships, and the eerie, secret-filled halls of Nevermore.

Tim Burton’s Macabre Vision: The legendary director sets the perfect gothic tone, brilliantly translating the delightfully eerie aesthetic of the Addams Family for a modern, young adult audience.
Jenna Ortega’s Iconic Performance: Her deadpan delivery, unblinking stares, and viral eccentric dance routines perfectly capture the sociopathic yet endearing essence of Wednesday Addams.
The Odd-Couple Dynamic: The brilliant, visually striking contrast between Wednesday's pitch-black, pessimistic personality and her werewolf roommate Enid’s hyper-colorful, overly cheerful energy.
Expanded Addams Lore: Season 2 dives much deeper into the family's bizarre history, bringing more of the classic Addams family members (like Pugsley and Uncle Fester) into the Nevermore fold.
Darker Escalation in Season 2: Leaning heavily into horror, the second season features higher stakes, terrifying new monsters, a highly anticipated body-swap episode, and major guest cameos including Lady Gaga.
