Story (Overview)

The movie follows Admiral General Aladeen, the childish and extremely arrogant dictator of the fictional North African country Wadiya. Aladeen travels to New York City to address the United Nations about his country’s nuclear program.

However, he is betrayed by his own uncle who wants to replace him with a look-alike puppet ruler and turn Wadiya into a democracy to profit from its oil. Suddenly powerless and stranded in New York, Aladeen must survive in the real world while trying to reclaim his throne.

During his journey, he meets unusual allies and slowly discovers life outside dictatorship.
